ANOTHER FOOL

And so I sit here now
Watchin’ the leaves turn brown
Denyin’ everythin’
Goin’ alone with the crowd
Seemed mor’ than fair
Fare for an underachiever
Lies and truth
Lord, they make a man a believer
Now I don’t know why
But I find I’m disbielivin’
The things I once held true
And nothin’ can heal
These wounds are bleedin’
The death of another fool
We live and learn
And every page that’s turned
Brings us one step closer to truth
Still, now, unlike before
I’m the one who’s walkin’ floors
Got me searchin’ for some proof
The answers never come
The thoughts inside that run
Got me feelin’ so aloof
